Sunday: Breakfast at 8:30am. First cookery demonstration begins at 9:30: Introduction to Knife Skills, Veg Prep and bread making. We will then eat what we produce for lunch at 1pm. After lunch we will have an introduction session in Writing, starting with the basics of what makes a story.

Monday: Breakfast at 8:30-9:30am. Free time in the morning to write or go for a walk etc. until lunch at 1pm. After lunch we will have another writing lesson until 5:30pm. Dinner will be at 7pm.

Tuesday: Breakfast at 8:30am. We will spend the morning learning how to make choux pastry and crème patisserie. A lunch of local meats, cheeses etc. at 1pm. The afternoon we will spend preparing the dinner for the evening and I will be demonstrating how to cut a whole chicken into eight pieces (and preparing accompaniments). Dinner will be served at the end of the cooking session.

Wednesday: Breakfast at 8:30am. We will spend the morning, from 9:30 until lunch at 12:30, continuing our writing lessons, and then in the afternoon you will have free time to continue to write, explore the area or go further afield. Dinner will be served at 8pm.

Thursday: Breakfast at 7:30am. We will then travel, independently, to a local market and you are free to explore the town. At lunch time we will meet at an arranged place and go on to a restaurant for lunch (20 euros per person included in room price). The afternoon is free for you to explore further afield, if you wish. A light tea will be ready for you when you return, at 8pm.

Friday: Breakfast at 8:30. We will spend the morning in the kitchen learning how to make dessert classics such as Crème Brûlée, Chocolate Fondants and homemade ice-cream. For lunch we will prepare a classic French Omelette. The afternoon will be spent concluding our writing lessons and then dinner shall be at 8pm (including your desserts, made earlier).

Saturday: Breakfast at 8:30-9:30. Departure by 11.

We aim to keep the week as close to the example itinerary as possible but it may change due to unforeseen circumstances, weather, available ingredients etc. Could you, please, let us know if you are able to drive to the market yourself by ticking the box to show you are driving. Thank you.
